Liverpool get
the better of Manchester United at Anfield. Their bitter rivals are not up to
the task in front of 49,136 fans, as Liverpool run out 3-1 victors. Steve Heighway
scored the first for the Reds, before Welshman John Toshack, and Kevin Keegan,
get one goal each in the second half. The win puts Bob Paisley’s men above
United and just one point behind leaders West Ham.
