Anfield 3rd In PL Numbers Table

Liverpool have been watched live by the third highest number of fans since the Premier League began, new statistics reveal.

Tonight's fixtures at the Stadium of Light and Villa Park will see the Premier League welcome its 250 millionth fan through the turnstiles, 20 years on from its inception in August 1992.

In that time, Liverpool have hosted 16,491,290 fans - third only to Manchester United (24,397,959) and Arsenal (17,036,537).

Suarez Tops OPTA Stats

Luis Suarez is topping the Premier League OPTA stats, the little Uruguayan is currently on seven goals alongside Newcastle’s Demba Ba and just a goal short of Robin van Persie, he’s also had the most shots in the league with 51 attempts on goal. There are strong rumours circulating that he could be joined in January by his former Ajax teammate Klaas Jan Huntelaar that signing will surely boost his goal tally in 2013.
