After a
shaky start to the season, Phil Taylor resigns as Liverpool manager after being
unable to lead the club back to Division One. Taylor left on a losing note as
his side crumbled to a 4-2 defeat against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank. The former
Liverpool defender, who joined the club as inside-forward when signed from Bristol
Rovers for by George Patterson, believes the strain of trying to gain promotion
was what led to him stepping down as manager.
